Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication (MCNUJC) is a premier public university located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. Established in 1990 by the Madhya Pradesh Government, it is India's first university dedicated exclusively to journalism and mass communication. Named after the renowned freedom fighter, poet, and journalist Pt. Makhanlal Chaturvedi, the university is recognized under Section 2(f) and 12(B) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act and is affiliated with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU).
