Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya, formerly known as Bhopal University, is a prominent state university located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, established in 1970 and rechristened in 1988 in honor of the freedom fighter Prof. Barkatullah. The university spans approximately 400 acres along the Hoshangabad highway, about 3 km from Rani Kamlapati Railway Station, and offers a comprehensive range of academic programs across faculties including Arts, Science, Engineering, Law, Commerce, Education, Management, and more. It serves eight districts: Bhopal, Sehore, Vidisha, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Harda, Betul, and Rajgarh.
